    Covance-Harrogate has an entry-level opening for a Scientific Report Editor. This individual should have a passion for editing scientific/technical reports and working with scientists and reporting staff to create the highest quality written documents possible. In this role, you will work with a small global team of editors that review and edit reports intended for global regulatory submissions for all Covance Early Development sites (US, EU, and China).     Main responsibilities of the role:

    • Edit scientific/ technical reports for the Early Development business
    • Manage and prioritise their own workload to ensure on time of reports to our clients
    • Manage the report templates used by the department.
    • Have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in the Covance standards of report writing and train people in this throughout the organisation.

    Education / Qualifications

    The successful candidate will ideally have a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in English or related field. Technical and scientific writing experience preferred but not essential, however experience with writing would be advantageous. 


    • You will have strong English writing and communication skills as this role requires you to communicate with a variety of different levels throughtout the organisation.
    • Have good experience with using Microsoft Word
    • Knowledge of standard editing/proofing conventions
    • Attention to detail, time management skills, and organizational skills
