    We are currently searching for Director, Global Services Delivery to be based in Poland, Warsaw.


    Person in this role will provide leadership and strategic direction in setting and executing HR Service Delivery principles and strategies to drive the HR Service Delivery value proposition (delivering high quality, cost effective global HR delivery services that generate positive employee experiences and outcomes).


    Areas of responsibility include:

    • end to end HR process ownership for HR service delivery activities, including: new hire services, employee life cycle services and termination/separation services – including leading all discovery and transition efforts to move new work into HR Service Delivery. 
    • driving measurable continuous improvement efforts related to service delivery work with performance targets regularly set and assessed
    • identifying, measuring and managing function KPIs.


    The role has visible leadership requirements, fundamentally based on leading and developing a high performing and engaged global team of service delivery managers and specialists.


    This position has a multi-discipline remit (it is responsible for HR service delivery activity from every HR discipline – recruitment, compensation, benefits, training and development, diversity, relocation, et al – making it complex in nature), is global in scope (requiring fluency with country laws, norms and customs) and impacts all Covance employees (including leaders and managers) directly.



    Education / Qualifications

    • BA/BS require
    • Advanced degree preferred
    • Process Excellence and/or Project Management certifications preferred



    15 years of experience in a HR leadership role, including the development of strategy and solutions.


    10 years experience working in the Human Resources function with broad based multi-discipline exposure in a large, global multi-location organization


    5 years proven management experience; building teams and developing people; particularly in a global, virtual environment



    Other required work-related experiences:

    • Fluency and understanding of HR management systems (HRMS, LMS, ATS)
    • Fluency and understanding of operations within HR disciplines (recruiting, rewards, employee relations, etc.)
    • Process orientation and demonstrated business process improvement skills and experiences (e.g., Change Management, Six Sigma Green Belt certification, Project Management)
    • Experience in managing off-shore resources
    • Strong financial and business acumen
    • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to to interact and influence individuals at all levels within the organization
    • Ability to thrive under pressure and deadlines
    • Ability to prioritize and set priorities for others
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and navigating complex matrix environment
    • Experience in implementation of merger, aquisition, restructuring and divestature initiatives
