    Administration (Archive) Officer

    COVANCE is a leading global drug development services company and we provide support to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries.

    We are recruiting for our R&D Archives team in Tockwith and are currently seeking to hire an Archive Officer to effectively process archived materials in accordance with company policy and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and to ensure that services to both internal and external customers are provided in a timely manner.

    This is a full time permanent position, based in our Tockwith office.

    About the Job

    Within this position, your duties will include:

    • Assist the Archive Site lead in the day to day running of the archive facility.
    • Ensure that the company procedures are followed in relation to security and access to the data to prevent tampering or loss of data in Archives.
    • Competent in all procedures relating to materials submitted to archives and provides assistance as required.
    • Competent in the archive index systems to ensure the efficient retrieval of archived data and withdrawal of records. Assists with monitoring for the return of data, advising line management of any anomalies.
    • (*) May assist in procedures relating to the efficient disposition of archived materials that ensures client or Test Facility Management requirements are established and processed accordingly in-line with appropriate regulations.
    • Demonstrates good customer service skills and judgment.
    • May assist with archive staff training and development as appropriate for role.
    • Ensures adherence to company Global/Regional/Local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as appropriate.
    • Assists with the monitoring of environmental conditions and archive facilities for the preservation of various types of data in the archives, following established SOP’s advising management of any issues.
    • Follows relevant Environmental, Health and Safety at work regulations and Company Policies.
    • Cooperates and maintains good relationships with other groups
    • Performs other duties as required from time to time.

    About You

    • To be successful in this position, you will need to hold a High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree preferable.

    Additionally, you will need to demonstrate:

    • Ability to interpret GLP, GCP and cGMP's Regulations in relation to archiving and records management as applicable for site.
    • Ability to positively interact with clients and regulatory personnel
    • Good customer service skills
    • Ability to perform good basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint,)
    • Valid driving licence required and Fork lift truck licence (preferable)

    Education / Qualifications

    Level of education required (or experience level which may be substituted for level of education).

    Experience

    Experience of working in regulated environments and /or Archive facilities would be advantageous but if not full training will be provided for the right candidate.
