    Nutritional Chemistry:

     

    Our complete analytical testing services include nutrients, contaminants, stability, microbiology, phytochemicals, residues, product container/enclosure (food packaging), raw materials, botanicals and method development.

     

    We are recruiting for our Food Solutions team in Harrogate and are currently seeking to hire an Associate Analytical Chemist II to help support the team with providing solutions to our clients, and will allow you exposure to the research and the data within the Food Safety business, across the full project lifecycle. This is a Permanent, full time position, based in our Harrogate Labs.

     

    About the Job

     

    Within this position, your duties will include:

     

    • Learning to conduct routine analyses in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory agency guidelines.
    • Learning how to document work and maintain study documentation and laboratory records.
    • Learning how to use laboratory equipment and software appropriate for assigned tasks.
    • Learning to plan assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments.
    • Contributing to a cohesive team environment. Planning individual workload in coordination with team members.
    • Maintaining a clean and safe laboratory work environment.
    • Attending and participating in project meetings.
    • Learning to perform peer review of data.
    • Performing other related duties as assigned.

     

    About You

     

    To be successful in this position, you must ideally hold a BSc Degree in Chemistry, or relevant, related discipline (requirement for a degree may be supplemented by lab experience).

    Additionally you will need to demonstrate some working knowledge and experience with Analytical Chemistry methods within a laboratory (ideally within food production, but not essential) environment. LCMS and pesticide experience is advantageous.
