    THE JOB

    Due to the expansion of Covance´s Clinical Development Services (CDS), we are looking for our next Proposal Manager (full service Phase I-IV trials).

     

     

    This can be an office-based job at either Edinburgh or Maidenhead, and for the right person we can offer a home-based option across the UK.

     

     

     

    We will trust you to manage all aspects of budget and proposal development for assigned opportunities, adhering to agreed-upon Business Unit specific and enterprise-wide proposal and pricing processes.

     

    You will review RFP requests to ensure full understanding of client requirements and to ensure timely delivery of opportunities to clients.

     

    You will manage opportunities autonomously, establishing clear timelines, anticipating obstacles and providing solutions to meet client requirements.

     

    This is a rich role, in which you will have the opportunity to collaborate with Operations, Finance, Sales Teams and others to compile award-winning proposal responses.

    Education / Qualifications

    Minimum Required:

     

    Bachelors degree in a scientific, business or related field (or equivalent work experience)

    Experience

    We are looking for someone with extensive direct experience in CRO/biopharmaceutical environment, ideally involved with budgeting and proposal development for full service Phase I-IV projects.

     

    The following skills are important for this role:

    • Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to be persistent while maintaining tact
    • Advanced computer skills (specifically MS Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task and prioritise in order to meet deadlines
    • Effective communication (written and verbal) skills
    • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Knowledge of software applications (i.e. SFDC) would be beneficial, although not compulsory as training will be provided
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to extract and summarise key information
    • Positive can-do attitude
