    Covance is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to work within their Phase I unit. This is where drugs are tested on healthy human volunteers for the first time. You will play a vital role in getting drugs to market thus improving the lives of patients across the globe. If you have experience in a pharmacy leadership role and you have aseptic, sterile manipulation experience gained in a pharmacy practice environment then Covance would love to hear from you.     Job Primary Functions

    The Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for the management, administration, and organization of the Pharmacy team as well as providing an information service and knowledge base on the pharmaceutical aspects of clinical trials at all stages in their design and implementation in clinical research. In addition, the Pharmacy Manager will be accountable for the development and/or maintenance of facilities and processes to ensure preparation and dispensing of investigational compounds is performed to the appropriate standards.

    Education / Qualifications

    • Masters Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) from a GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) accredited 4-year program
      • BPharm and BSc acceptable in addition to below registration
    • Registration with the GPhC to practice pharmacy in the UK

    Experience

    • Masters Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) from a GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) accredited 4-year program
      • BPharm and BSc acceptable in addition to below registration
    • Registration with the GPhC to practice pharmacy in the UK
    • 3-5 years of pharmacy practice as a registered pharmacist in the UK
    • 1-2 years in a leadership role in a pharmacy practice environment
      • 1-2 years of experience as a supervisor over staff is preferred
    • 1-2 years of aseptic, sterile manipulation experience in a pharmacy practice environment.
      • Clean room experience and Grade A quality sterile aseptic manipulations included
    • PLUS: 1-2 years of relevant research experience
    • You must be fluent in English language (both verbal and written)
