The job summary is as follows:
Clinical Pathology Laboratory Scientist provide supports to Clinical and Non Clinical Safety Assessment (NSA) over a wide range of Clinical Pathology functions.
Clinical Pathology Laboratory Scientist is responsible for technical duties within CPS and provides support to the Senior Scientists.
The jobholder has specific scientific responsibilities which include participating in all procedures in the operational areas of Clinical Pathology Services (CPS). These include assays, metrology and general Lab support duties. The jobholder will assist the Senior Scientists with some involvement in specialist functions and projects within the department.
The job holder is responsible for reviewing and checking the data generated. The job holder will assist the Senior Scientists in the aspects of training and development, and will help to coordinate the external QC’S and validations.
Minimum level of education required is a Biomedical Science Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
The post-holder should be a competent scientist, able to employ the full range of techniques and instrumentation applicable to Clinical Pathology Services including automated chemistry and haematology analysers.
Relevant operational experience; excellent scientific knowledge of analytical techniques, good interpersonal and organisational skills are required.
Preferable 3 years minimum Clinical Pathology Laboratory experience
