We have an exciting new opportunity for someone to join our Phase I Clinic in Leeds as a Senior Manager, Clinical Operations (Planning). This is a key position to help lead and drive the growth of the clinical pharmacology business.

 

As a Senior Manager, Clinical Operations (Planning), you will be responsible for the management, administration, organisation and conduct of the Study Operations (Planning) department. The planning department are involved in all aspects of study planning from study scheduling through recruitment to the point of study conduct.  You will provide leadership, training, coaching and mentoring of clinical operations (planning) supervisors and staff. The planning departments include the scheduling/ resourcing, volunteer recruitment, clinical research coordinators and operations coordinators. As part of the role, you will rotate your duties for a period of time with your peer, Senior Manager, Clinical Operations (Delivery). This is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain knowledge of the full lifecycle of the operations within clinical pharmacology to help with the continuing growth of the business. This is a permanent, full time position, based in our Leeds office.

 

Within this position, your duties will include:

 

  • Directly or indirectly supervise clinical operations (planning) technical and professional staff.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Manager, Clinical Operations (delivery) to ensure that the clinic meets the study deliverables and to define and implement strategies for the clinic.
  • To manage and implement the new structure to the planning departments.

 

About You

To be successful in this position, you will typically be educated to Degree level in a medical, science or related field. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate:

 

  • An experienced level of progressive and proven management responsibilities in a related business environment. Preferably with strong working knowledge within the pharmaceutical/ CRO industry. Clinical Research knowledge would be advantageous but not required.
  • Creativity and resilience in the application of processes and approach to work, and comfortable dealing in a complex environment.
  • A successful track record in meeting commitments and leading change, using a highly collaborative approach, and emphasising team wins versus individual achievement.

  • Typically 6-8 years of progressive and proven leadership responsibilities in clinical research project management.
