Job Overview

Covance Central Laboratory Services, a provider of laboratory testing services to support the drug development process, has the following position available in our Mechelen – Belgium facility:

LOGISTICS ASSOCIATE

COVANCE is a leading global drug development services company and we provide support to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries.

We are recruiting for our Logistics team in Belgium and are currently seeking to hire a Logistics Associate. This is a permanent, full time position, based in our Mechelen office.


Within this position, your duties will include:

*Kit Distribution:
- Process all work orders in the appropriate IT software in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the Logistics Regulatory Associates with regards to the shipping documentation.
- Use the appropriate service providers according to the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
- Prepare the over-pack with the appropriate quantity of items.
- Support stock management and inventory: coordinate with the sourcing department for the purchase of required materials.

 

 

*Dry Ice production:
- Process all dry ice orders in the appropriate IT software in a timely manner.
- Use the appropriate service providers according to the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
- Prepare the over-pack containing the appropriate quantity of dry ice according to the order.
- Support stock management and inventory: coordinate with the sourcing department for the purchase of required materials.

 

 

*General
- Ensure security and healthy environment are respected according to the Covance CLS rules.
- Any others duties assigned by the Logistics Workflow lead.
- Follow the standard operating procedures.

Education / Qualifications

Required:

- Minimum A2 or equivalent based on experience
- Any further Specialization/Certification within the Supply Chain/Logistics field
- Fluent in English Speaking, Fluent in Dutch, Writing and Reading (Must Have)
- Any other language will be an asset

Experience

- Minimum of 2 year experience in warehousing and/or supply chain activities
- Knowledge of inventory management system (People soft or equivalent)
