Job Overview

We are looking to recruit a Quality Control Specialist (Technician) based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire on a 12 month fixed term contract.

 

As a Quality Control Specialist, you are responsible for reviewing the quality of data to ensure accuracy and compliance in accordance with protocol and regulatory guidelines. You will be reviewing data including animal observations, test material administration and sample collection. This role is part of a global team and you will have the opportunity to visit other Covance sites.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Identify discrepancy trends and share results with management
  • Respond to QA (Quality Assurance) inspection report findings related to the review of data.
  • Assess and document clinical observations, body weight data, food consumption data, environmental data, and other data on the appropriate data collection system
  • Recognizes deviations from expected results and takes appropriate action
  • Work with others to resolve discrepancies before they become deviations
  • May help in lab as needed to maintain skills and keep up with SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) changes
  • Undertake process improvement and work with QA dept on data quality initiatives

 

About You

 

Essential

 

You must have solid Quality Control experience

Competent with basic Excel software

Display attention to detail

Be confident in recording and communicating information

 

Desirable

 

Experience of quality control in a laboratory environment – GLP

Experience of a data capture system
