We are recruiting for our Early Development Unit in Harrogate and are currently seeking to hire a Lab Scientist to help support the Immunotoxicology team. This is a full time permanent contract About the Job Within this position, the jobholder has specific scientific responsibilities which include participating in all procedures in the operational areas of Immunology and Immunotoxicology (I&I). These include assays, metrology, study coordination and general Laboratory support duties. The jobholder will assist the Senior Scientist 1 (Section Leader) • in the running of major specialist functions and projects within the department. • in key aspects of internal training and will be expected to progress through the in-grade stages of this Laboratory Scientist II position by gaining and maintaining proficiency in appropriate selected competencies Responsibilities: To have a clear understanding of GLP/GCP/SOP’s and their implications, and to work in strict accordance with them at all times. Principally this will entail adherence to the relevant Good Laboratory Practice regulations as issued by the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA); the relevant OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice and Compliance Monitoring; and the relevant OECD Guidelines on the Organisation and Management of Multi-site Studies. About You To be successful in this position, you will need to hold a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical/Biological Sciences Preferably Additionally, you will need to demonstrate: • Previous operational Clinical Pathology experience. • Ability to utilise word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and specialised software on personal computers. • Skilled in the use of all standard laboratory equipment We Offer The opportunity to work within an experienced and highly skilled team. Preferably BSc (Hons) in relevant degree, immunology (preferred)
Experience operational Clinical Pathology experience.
